Hospitalizations from the flu season not covid.?
Happens every year.
In CA, here is the reality:
The number of flu deaths reported statewide?is down nearly 90%, with
four flu deaths reported so far?in the current
flu season versus 39 flu deaths reported in the last flu
season.
Hospitalizations is not deaths, Emily.
You missed my point.? But, if you prefer, hospitalization rates for
the flu are one-third what they were during the last
lowest flu season (2011-2012).??
To say that hospitalization numbers are substantially up because
people with the flu are being tagged as Covid-19 patients is
absurd, given that only 4 people died of the flu this season.? Or,
are you saying something else??
Our health stats for our area were quite clear about how many were
in the hospital for covid and how many flu or other things like
pneumonia (did you forget about that one). Covid cases were far
outnumbered by other kinds of cases.?? There is a group of us
locally who like to track these things.
