Hi, I want the FTM-200D to read out my received APRS messages (not beacons). I have the FVS-2 module installed and it is working. If a receive an APRS message addressed to me, the callsign of the sender is read out but the contents not. According page 43 of the APRS manual it should read out both callsign and main text. (Setting 76 APRS RINGER, MSG VOICE = ON). I have changed various settings e.g. 108 VOICE MEMORY , ANNOUNCE / RX MUTE without any luck. (I use an FT5D to transmit the APRS message.) (If I view a recieved message, short press F-menu and select voice, the callsign is read out and the message text is read out character by character.) Any suggestions welcome. Cheers, 73, PD4O, Wiek

To the creator of this Group, would you consider changing the name to "FTM" or "All Yeasu" ? That would cover the FTM 100 and a bunch of other analog radios (and some dig.) and keep everyone together instead of speading them out with a new Group. hi, for pedestrian mobile use /pm, I am looking for a light battery. I was wondering if one can use a 14.4v li-ion pack. If the 4 cells are fully charged, voltage can be 16.8v. Would this damage the radio? Cheers, 73, PD4O, Wiek

Chris, K9EQ, mentioned as a reply the post on HamOperator.com titled "Fusion Cheats". There it is explained to show voltage in right upper corner of screen until power off. I have an ft5d which I can connect via BT to an android phone with aprsdroid to send and receive messages. I was wondering if this would also work on the ftm200 when I would install the optional BT module. Anyone tried this? Best regards, 73!, PD4O, Wiek

Hi, testing power output using nissei rs50 swr power meter, x200 antenna and a 25/30amp power supply. In VHF 145MHz I get 5/26/54W power output. On UHF 435MHz I get 4/19/37W output. In UHF I also hear a relay clicking which I don't hear on VHF. What is your experience? 73! PD4O

Hello everybody, I am not able to adjust manually date & time on FTM-200D. I have no access to GPS signal where the rig is located. Following the manual instructions, Long push [F] -> menu 28 date&time adjust) [Push DIAL] ->year(push dial)->month(push dial)->... etc. But after adjusting minutes, pressing DIAL does nothing and I cannot find the way to save the new values. I am hoping to get on a local repeater and run SSTV on 2 meters with the FTM-200DR. I will be using the Signalink, computer, and cables supplied by Tigertronics. Has anyone done this and maybe could copy memories / setup to Micro-SMDR ? Or any help would be appreciated. WA7ISN Wes 73's

Using RT System's software and have been programing my 200DR since I got it. However, today. I can't get the radio to "see" the cable. The clone items are grayed out. - Same RT Systems cable - I checked the pins and they are not damaged (very fragile) - Rebooted the same laptop to no avail (laptop sees the cable as usual) - Power-cycled the 200DR several times to no avail - Confirmed that the USB port on the laptop works Any ideas why the CLONE menus, specifically 117, are grayed out? Thios worked many times

First ... when I post to the Fusion group, I am told to post here. So, I do ... but there is hardly anyone here! I probably need to look for another FTM-200DR group (sigh). --------------------------- My question: I use the RT-Systems software and cable to program my FTM-200DR as I didn't find anything from Yaesu. Today, when I tried to update the radio, it came back up completely erased (like fresh from the factory). I tried another time and that time it was programmed properly (I did have to enter my callsign into the radio first). As anyone experienced this? Note that I backed up the factory default when I first got the radio and I do have config backups on the laptop, but I wonder why it powered-up with the factory default?

I have some noise that is messing up wiresx software causing wiresx software blue button to go from grey to blue. I hear noise on radio. I think if I turn radio squelch up some and it will fix it. Where is that setting? thanks

Hello to all, I just received my ftm-200 last week and finished setting it up. I am curious, has anyone tried connecting it to a computer yet? Also I am trying to find a rail system to put it in backpack, without dropping a few hundred dollars on them. 73, ko4cwf Joseph

If you have "B" set to 144.39 for APRS, and them activate PMG AUTO, is the APRS beacon still transmitted when it needs to? My APRS works just fine when in normal mode. But I haven't seen the radio TX a beacon while in PMG AUTO mode

Yes, we need members. A short note to the members. We all acknowledge this is a new groupsio and new Yaesu product (many). It is important to recommend to others so this groupsio and forum can grow. It may not be acceptable that this groupsio FTM-200 device was branched off from another. We all understand the huge cost per each groupsio can be $200 per month or more. The amount is Based on the size and storage of the groupsio. This is not a request for money or begging. Like the 46 other groupsio over 9 years from yahoo groups and google groups. So we are educated to understand those multi- purpose groupsio are paid for one person “hello”. I have heard or read many whining or complaining “why” “why” and with knowledge it is all done for a reason. as the owner of others (many) over 7-10 years groupsio this groupsio will grow with time. thanks
