Re: FT-875D noice floor
In addition to the capital above the frequency, there will be a triangle/arrow icon next to the IPO option (bottom row of the display).? Note that the IPO option is in the Multi Function "m" (MFm)

Re: FT-875D noice floor
Check out Rob Sherwood's presentation on RX imod and roofing filters . we lost a lot of selectivity when they included a 1st IF filter wide enough for 10m FM.

Re: FT-875D noice floor
Do you have the IPO turned on?? If it's turned off the receiver preamp is turned on, and that will boost noise floor.? The same holds true for the FT-2000 and FT-950. 73, K0LEJ

FT-875D noice floor
My 857D has a big noice level on f. ex. 80 mts. Compared to my ft-2000 and ft-950 is is a lot. To compare like this is not fair, but I hope that there is a way to get rid of lot of that noice. When

Re: FT-857D on AM
Another thing to remeber is that for 100W OP, the resting carrier (no modulation) the OP is 25W.? I found that it sounded better at 15-20W, though...

Re: HAM RADIO DELUX AND FT857D
For a time CHIRP was writing to the same 857D eprom area that eventually rendered some radios to brick status.? Believe CHIRP developer removed some features to avoid that result.? Phil / K4PO

Re: HAM RADIO DELUX AND FT857D
Which features did HRD implement with a slider? I know things like the noise blanker cause EEPROM writes so dragging a slider would definitely hammer specific cells in the memory chip. Thanks, Joe
