Personally I chose the Z11pro over the Z100 because of wider tuning range 6-1000 vs 6-800 ohm and I liked the way the Dimensions matched the 857 profile. Leonard K. Pennock AD7AS Those who walk

I've had good luck with the LDG Z11Pro <https://www.ldgelectronics.com/z-11-pro-ii> and the AT-100Pro <https://www.ldgelectronics.com/at-100-proii> but the Z11Pro has the advantage of lower power

I use an RT systems 62C USB to 8 pin din on my 857D for contest radio control and logging on N1MM and it works perfectly on SSB. Seems like it would also work on CAT but I have little or no knowledge

I have mine hooked up that way now. I have it setup for 4800 baud and t work just fine. I would recommend not using the 38400 option as the USB converter does not handle it very well without
