Just got the unit back.? Opened it up and replaced the RJ12, NADA.? Both checked out good with an ohmmeter.? Yaesu said the mother board showed signs of corrosion, NOT, even under a black light..?

Re: RadioECU 4.3 CATDisplay info?
Thanks, Merlin. I'm aware of the original Cat Display...and it seems very nice. The one I mentioned "appears" cryptically to have a few additional features which is why I was asking about anyone with

Re: RadioECU 4.3 CATDisplay info?
Wish that display had a CAT pass-thru or some way to simultaneously have CAT control with a digital mode interface box (RigBlaster, etc). But then, simultaneous use of the CAT port by two separate

Re: No turn on
Go to wal Mart and bring the cable with you. Hold the ends together and look at the color arrangement. Get a 4 conductor phone cable off the shelf and look for the same arrangement end to end. You

Re: No turn on
Base price is probably cheaper directly from Yaesu but unless you are buying other stuff the shipping will eat up any savings.

Re: RadioECU 4.3 CATDisplay info?
I use the original Cat Display from New Zealand which I like very much. I believe you get more information on it than the Chinese one and it cost less too. It's made by a Ham who's name is Chris Day.

Re: No turn on
I had a problem with my 857 not starting, it turned out that the pins in the front panel connector were not all making a connection to the cable pins. Hope this helps, Dan KC7NJB -- Dan Gregs

Re: Delayed RX after TX
Each band seems to have its own memory slot. I wondered if this is every band or a single band. Another trick is to use the cloning facility from a known good radio and see if that fixes things. All

Thanks Paul. Menu Mode #s 87 and 88 address VOX delay and VOX gain respectively, not on or off. I've never been in the Service menu list; how do the band-selective VOX settings get accessed? Please
