Or else go to the channel mode. Channels with the names M-601 -> M-605 are the legal way to transmit on 60 meters.

That small cap is likely a user inserted DC blocking cap that is recommended for the 857 filters that have a history of being destroyed by DC to filter. This is a Yaesu design fault. Many 857s have

Mike, Heil normally color codes their microphone to rig connectors as Yellow = Yaesu, Blue = ICOM, & Red = Kenwood for the popular rigs. Hope that info helps. Phil / K4PO
