Re: FT857D mobile tuner

开云体育

Thanks to all who responded; good info! The ATAS is good but limited to mobile and I use outside antennas for POTA, Field Day and 7QP, etc. I have an IC-100 tuner for an Icom 746 pro that works well so I probably will look at the Z-100plus and the Z-11ProII at SeaPac in two weeks. Marybe I’ll get lucky and find a good used one.

73 and thanks for the help, Bob - W7SCY?

Re: CAT Cable USB for FT 857D

With "U5 Link" I did everything from Apr 19 to Mai 08 in Italy,
RTTY, SSB, CW, and controlling the radio with CAT using
that little box from China stores.
Using a LongWire and bad ground connections, could be better
to have some ferrite in the cables.

Personally I chose the Z11pro over the Z100 because of wider tuning range 6-1000 vs 6-800 ohm and I liked the way the Dimensions matched the 857 profile.

I use an RT systems ?62C USB to 8 pin din on my 857D for contest radio control and logging on N1MM and it works perfectly on SSB. Seems like it would also work on CAT but I have little or no knowledge of other digital digital uses.

I have mine hooked up that way now.? I have it setup for 4800 baud and t work just fine.? I would recommend not using the 38400 option as the USB converter does not handle it very well without handshaking.
