¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Bob, ? Mobile radios can sometimes do funny things. For instance, if you start the vehicle with the radio already turned on it can cause a glitch which can screw up the radio. This is normally fixed by a reset of the radio. ? I suggest that, if you haven¡¯t already done so, ?download the memory information and other settings to a computer, then do a full reset on the radio. ? Next, update all the memory information to the correct settings, save it to the computer and then upload it back to the radio. ? 73¡.Eric VK2VE. ? The 857 Mobile was programmed for the repeaters and checked. But on race day Saturday morning they all went south: first I couldn¡¯t get the primary repeater to answer and I discovered my radio had changed from CTCSS to DCS so I fixed that then I found the ?radio had changed every repeater frequency to simplex! Today I pulled the FT857D which has performed flawlessly for 9 years out of the car and put it on the bench. That¡¯s when I discovered other repeates had also changed to DCS and ¡°SPL¡± (odd splits) and some other odd things like I transmit on a memory repeater and the radio switches to ¡°VFOB¡± on transmit. Anyone else have something like this happen? I am going to try uploading some memories with my new RT Systems cable (never used yet) but I am stumped. Any Ideas? Bob ¨C W7SCY |
