I am reducing FT-857D MAX RF Power to 50W by the Service Menu for JA¡¯s mobile station application.
It would be very much appreciated if someone could answer my following questions.
1. For what do the MID2, MID1, MIN work?

Hullo Hiro,

These Service Menu settings are published under the headling "RF Power Adjustment."

My best guess as to how they work is:

024 - 039 are to calibrate, or set in some fashion, points at the frequencies listed so the RF power level operation by the operator may be relatively accurate across the range MF/HF/50 MHz.

040 - 044 similarly perform a calibration across the 144 and 432 MHz range.

In other words a way of calibrating or ensuring that the general operator/operating menu setting
075 RF POWER SET
works across those ranges.

i.e. In many regions, 075 reads from: MF/HF 0 - 100 W; 144 MHz 0 - 50 W; and 432 MHz 0 - 20 W.
Maximum will be lower in Japan, and possibly another area.
