I checked the service manual and indeed there is pin 1 (HP-AUDIO) that affects sp / ph on the Panel-Unit (is called).? ? But I found out that there aren't any issues with the rig or perhaps some.? ?
I was experimenting with a Heil headset (stereo plug) and the ext speaker Vertex (mono plug).? ?I also disconnected my home made cable and placed yet another spare one I had.....voila!? Sounds are heard now in both headset / ext speaker.? ? I then replaced the cable again.? ?I still can hear on the headset and ext speaker.? ?But it seems that there might be some intermittent issue on the jack itself...maybe dust I thought?? ?I placed a tad drop of DeoxIT Gold on my index finger and rubbed it on the stereo plug connector of the Heil and the same was done for the mono plug of the Vertex ext speaker.
Now I can connect / disconnect each freely and the audio is live all the time.
So for now I am a happy camper.? ?But trust me I did not hear anything before....hallucinations, hearing impaired, age; you can call me anything but I know what I was not hearing any audio before.? ?
