You have to make sure the locking mechanism inside the powerpoles is engaged. Sometimes it takes a little extra push to get that "click" that ensures that the connector is all the way in. Once it's engaged, they won't come apart unless you release the connector. I always listen for the click and give them a tug just to make sure.

My 857D pigtail out of the radio has issues with 6 pin connector. You can barely move it and it cuts radio on and off. I ordered a pigtail from Yaesu but night take 6 weeks to get it. Any other sources you are aware of to get the pigtail?
