Thanks Tony,
Power supply is around 13.97 V and when 857
is powered ON, there is no difference (14.01 V).

First, check the power supply voltage. And
check when 857 is powered off and on. There should be
virtually no difference in power supply voltage.

Hi folks,
For the very first time, my old FT-857D is messing around.
When I push the Power ON/OFF to switch off the radio, the
front panel stop displaying the informations from the VFO but
don't switch off totally the radio. The LCD is still
illuminated !
And switching on again don't bring the display back. The only
solution is to switch off the power supply.
The problem is I need sometimes to switch on/off again several
time the power supply to get the radio running again.
I think in no time, I won't be able to switch on again the
radio
Any suggestion about what to check ?
Many thanks in advance,
