Hi Bob, yes the radio has the head mounted up front and the radio in the back. I will clean the contacts on the remote cable. So far in a couple days the problem has not re-appeared. Thanks for the heads up on the remote cable.

Hi Others, as far as the powering on then off, power connections, grounds and the cables can't be the issue. The radio powered itself on then off repeatedly by itself for approx 5 minutes. Since then no problems. Poor connection at the battery (Hall Device) can't be the problem, why would the radio come on by itself. I also have another device hooked up to the Hall device and it was not effected. Poor connections, bad power cables would not explain why the radio would power on by itself. Also nobody said the radio would power off when the vehicle was started. This all happened after the vehicle had been running for 10 or so minutes.

So the only reason this is happening looks like the remote cable, which I will check out.
