Yes, it is a nosy and
powerful fan.? Considering the size (small) of the the sink, you need to
be able to blow as much air across that heat sink as possible.? The
best thing to do is get the separation unit and separate the head from
the body and mount the body away form the operation position.

It's annoying tbh and so far it's the only issue I've had with my
radio, everythingh else is fine, it's a great radio imho. I only use 20W
or so usually but the fan comes on after a few seconds and stays on for
a bit when receiving whatever the output power setting, I'm using it as
a homebase not mobile and have to turn up the volume to overcome the
noise. Other half ain't too happy either, lol.
Anyone else have the same probs, is it my radio? Is there a fix
(replacement) available? Be nice to sort it if possible. Ideas and
solutions welcome :)
