Observe the Perseids Meteor Shower

If it's raining or overcast the event won't happen. If the skies are clear, we will be there.
Join the Ford Amateur Astronomy Club at Spring Mill Pond in Island Lake State Recreational Area to observe the Perseids Meteor Shower 2023 on Saturday August 12th.
Get there around sunset which is at 8:40PM
Bring a blanket to lay in the grass to observe the skies and bring mosquito repellent.
Best way to observe a meteor shower is to lay on the ground or have a chair that lays backward so you can see as much of the sky as possible.
We will have telescopes on hand to observe some beautiful deep sky objects
