Amazingly my boat has never had a tilter extension. How long does it need to be to get out on float and a bit forward? I have been thinking 10' would be about right. I've been looking at a Hotstick to be able to reduce the length for maneuvering. Eric Nelson

I posted a pic from #44 to show an aftermarket mast stand attache to the trailer. Its not a Pacific trailer though and I'm not sure there is enough room on the tongue to try a similar approach. I've removed my pulpit and do not plan on putting it back. I may make a carbon tubed pulpit like Panic Button has, but I have enough other tasks this year. I can't go sailing until I get a trailer mast stand mounted. The pressure is on! Eric Nelson

I can't believe it. Every piece or hardware I pull off had not been hard spotted to seal the hole. Even more amazing is that the balsa is pristine in most instances with only silicon sealant keeping things dry Thank goodness for San Diego weather. Looks like I'm going to have to be quite vigilant in searching and performing proper sealing in every hole in the boat. The boat has a speed impeller and depth transducer and they are going to have to come out for inspection now. I'm very suspicious of the window cut outs now too. Once everything is off and the boat is completely sanded I'll do an infrared survey using heat lamps and an IR camera to hunt for wet core. IR cameras are a lot easier to use to find rot and moisture than to try and find de-lam. Eric Nelson #22

Looking at the plan book the bow eyes are through bolted. With no way to access any nuts on the inside of the float I'm assuming there is no way to remove (and re-install afterward) these for painting. This is the case? If so, were they installed before the float decks and hulls were joined? Thanks, Eric Nelson
