Re: Is Daydreams still active?

I have to admit that I only got through month 2 but I downloaded the lessons and will get back to it.? It is a beautiful project but the birth of a great nephew and a great great nephew took my stitching attention in different directions.

Because of the extra work due to the spring flood...(water invaded our basement and were evacuated 5 weeks) I downloaded the lessons and I am slowly working on it.?
Dear Barbara it is a lovely detailed design and I want to thank you to share your creativity.?

Thanks, Faith. I think everybody but me has moved on. I downloaded the files as they were posted, so I don't need anything, I just thought there might be a few progress pictures before it wrapped up.

Re: Is Daydreams still active?

Oh, no. I hope the flood damage was reparable. Water is so destructive.

I'm still on the second needlelace circle. I feel like I take out more than I put in. I think I'm on my way to the finish now, though.

Re: Needlelace Circle

Barbara, are you still answering questions on Daydreams? I'm just getting to the buttonhole triangles in the Needlelace Circles and my first three attempts haven't worked. Adding stitches and working looser have helped a bit, but mine still seem to narrow so quickly. How many base stitches should we be using? And is there a trick to getting them to narrow more gradually like the ones in your sample and other completed projects?

I am responding to your concern as the EAC Correspondence Course Registrar. Cyber courses differ than the other courses offered by EAC in that there are no evaluations/critiques/assessment done on the completed projects and as a result no certificates are sent out either. With Cyber courses, you are given the course instructions in installments and there can be interaction within the group either by sharing any concerns they may have, being provided with an answer to their questions and/or sharing of pictures only with those that are in this specific group. Some of us work along in each lesson and some of us don't have the time to stitch at the moment and will work on it later so are just wanting the course instructions and observe if they are any issues that need to be addressed or clarification needed on any part. /a

Good evening Barbara

My question is on how you will be critiquing our embroidery. Do we complete Daydreams by making it into the pillow before? Will we be sending in the final piece to you or will the critique be done by sending you pictures of the front and back before finishing it?

Hope your husband is doing better

I'm sorry, so so sorry.

I got Barb to send me the lesson in enough time so that I could post it on May 31 because I was going to be in the woods on a Wilderness and Remote First Aid that started on Friday. Then in the rush to get away I obviously forgot all about posting it.

So instead of a weekend to stitch you had a weekend to wonder where the heck I was.

If it's any consolation, I now know why the blackflies were so bad. They were obviously my punishment for neglecting my duties.

Enjoy Lesson Six.

Critique/evaluation questions

Good morning. ?This is my first cyber course and I have enjoyed working on it. Will there be a critique on my embroidery and if so how will happen? ? ?Will be done with pictures of front and back to the counsellor or will there be an option to send it to her if I cover the postage both ways?
Is it before I make it into a pillow or after?

Pat G

Re: Lesson 6?

Hello Heather,

I forwarded lesson 6 to Faith on Wednesday (29th) She wanted it early as she was going away for the weekend.? She did intend to post it before she went? so something must have come up that she could not do it.? I am sorry for the delay and I am sure it will be posted as soon as she gets back.
Regards,
Barbara
