No…I do not descend from Josiah Daniel of Granville Co., NC. My Martin Daniel Sr (ca 1750-1811) never left Mecklenburg Co., VA and neither did his son Martin Daniel Jr (ca 1790-ca 1844) who married Avarilla “Avey” Yancey. ?My line follows through Martin Jr and Avey’s daughter Margaret Daniel who married John Henry Hewey Sr in 1849 in Mecklenburg Co., VA. They are next found in the 1850 Granville Co., NC. Census.?
