Re: Daniel family of Rowan County, NC

?Here's what I have for Ambrose Daniel :?
? ?He married Sarah Edwards daughter of Joseph and Mary Ann : among Sarah Edwards brothers and sisters was Staunton , Jesse , John, remember those names.?
? ?Ambrose Daniel's children are all named in a will there in Halifax, of the girls Chloe married Wiley Crook , Sarah married Staunton Edwards ( son of the Staunton Edwards mentioned above) , Mary (not known if she ever married).?
? York county SC deed book G page 264 is Sarah Edwards Daniel receiving 200 acres as her dower, Willis Daniel is Paying Jesse Edwards $500 , witnesses were Staunton Edwards and Ambrose Daniel .?
?York County? deed book H page 273 they are selling said 200 acres " know all men by these presents that we Sarah Daniel widow of Ambrose Daniel late of North Carolina, Britton Daniel , Willis Daniel of the state of North Carolina, Wiley Crook and Chloe his wife , Staunton Edwards and his wife Sarah, Joseph Daniel , Ambrose Daniel , Sion Daniel and Mary Daniel of the state of South Carolina "?
? ? This puts Joseph Daniel in SC with several of his brothers and a sister as well as his mother. There was only one Joseph Daniel in the York/Chester SC area according to census records, that is the Joseph Daniel who married Jane Simmons and had children (Known ) Joseph John , William Simmons , Holloway W . This Joseph died in 1824 in the estate records for him, notables that bought from the estate were Jane Daniel his wife and Staunton Edwards.?
? ?two descendants of William Simmons Daniel have taken y-dna tests one a 37 marker test one Big-Y , the Big-Y haplogroup is R-FT206759 ( kit # 194947) the 37 marker test is # 24752.?
? There are 19 matches in our little group who have taken various levels of Y-dna tests they are :?
? ? ? # 37795? earliest known ancestor Isham Daniel of Chatham NC through his son Littleton and Littleton's son John
? ? ? # 972686 Isham Daniel through his son Jesse?
? ? ? ?There are two more kits that match through Littleton's son David one of them is #10075
? ?Isham Daniel is believed to be the son of John Daniel of Brunswick although primary records are lacking to prove it, we know John had a son Isham we just can't prove for sure the two Isham's are the same.?
? ? Kit # 968445 is a descendant of Joseph Daniel sr. b 1723 d 1794 of Brunswick, the paper trail is pretty solid for this one. Two other kits have a probable connection to Joseph Daniel sr. #182668 & # 491033, another case of not being able to make the connection by paper trail. The earliest known ancestors are Harrison Daniel b abt 1801 d ? in Indiana and Cole Spencer Daniel b 1807 d 1866 possible son of Hezekiah Daniel. Harrison and Hezekiah both being grandson's of Joseph Daniel sr.?
? # 974586 is a descendant of Reese Daniel of Dinwiddie/Prince George and has connections to the Gee family which makes him possibly related to the John Daniel sr and jr of Prince George county.
? ? Going back to Ambrose Daniel, the Daniel families that were in Halifax NC, the ones who lived on Burn Coat and Jacket swamps all appear to be part of Peter Daniel sr's family, the earliest deed record for Peter, that I have found, is for 1744 and he is buying land on Crab Louse branch in Brunswick, the deed says Peter Daniel of Prince George county, so we have the root of this group in Prince George. This was before Dinwiddie county was formed (1752) so I suspect the part of PG they were from became Dinwiddie. We find Randall Daniel in several records as being in Dinwiddie. Looks like he sold out around 1785 and went to Halifax NC. One interesting tid bit I found just recently was from the one order book still existing for Dinwiddie county, it mentions Randall and though not directly connected in these records, is Peyton Randall Daniel, Peyton's son Tillman R has a descendant that is also a y-dna match #76193, my suspicions are Peyton Randall Daniel is a son of Randall Daniel, with Randall being a son of Peter sr. .?
? Another match of interest is ( I do not have the kit number) a descendant of James Daniel (who married Elizabeth West) putting this James both in the vicinity of Peter's family but also a dna match to Ambrose and the other's with Brunswick connections. So no this James is not from the Middelsex group as some trees out there have him.?
? ?There's another James Daniel or it might be the same one, father of Frederick Daniel and most likely David Daniel all of the Halifax and Nash county area, Frederick has a descendant who is also a y-dna match # 838919 and if we have sorted David's line out correctly there is a match ( again I don't have that kit number ) through a Grandson Drewery Daniel b 1812 d 1869..?
? ? I know there needs to be more research on some of this and if anyone has information to either support of refute this I would love to see the info, there are a couple more lines out there one being my line # 199987 + 776172 and a line descending from Josiah Daniel of Rowan NC. # 968336.?
? ?I may not have all the matches perfectly lined up but the dna is beginning to paint a picture for us, if we could get the rest of these kits upgraded to Big -Y it might help some. ( we have 8 so far with one of them not completely processed ) haplogroups are R-FT 206759 ( 5 kits) and R-FT 367829 ( 2 kits)?
? ?Again if you have any other info I would be extremely interested in seeing it.??
