Thanks for setting this up Kevin. Your earlier work got me going on trying to find Britton’s ancestors using DNA, since we couldn’t find a paper trail. We believe his parents were John Daniel and Catherine Napier, but no proof yet. Thanks to FamilyTreeDNA, we learned that Britton is probably connected somehow to John Thomas Daniel (d1640), Edward Daniel (1760-1833), Nathaniel Daniel (1796-1864), William Jeremiah Daniel (1780-1850), James Daniel (1745-1821), but no idea how they connect. Britton is first found in Harlan County, Ky then Clay County, KY and finally in Madison County, KY. His name is sometimes spelled differently (Brittain, Britten, etc.). Any suggestions or corrections are appreciated.?
