Re: John Daniel 1730 to after 1765 of Essex/Caroline/Cumberland/Goochland, Virginia

me when people don't explain their reasoning! I wish CBH was still
alive so I could give him a piece of my mind. CBH was a close
collaborator of my father's first cousin, also a genealogist, but she
never came close to making correct assignments for our Daniels, but
that is another rant.
Hah hah!! I think we've all got a long list of genealogists to whom we'd
like to give a piece of our mind, people who wrote tantalizing stuff
without giving any supporting evidence or even a basic reason for how
they came to that conclusion. And then there's the ones who set the
court houses, etc. on fire, grrrrr....!

Anyway..... Goochland records are locked on FamilySearch, so if anyone
has transcriptions of Goochland records, knows about the Daniel
families who were living there in the 1750s-1780s, please keep me in mind!
I was looking at Goochland records on familySearch recently and the Deed
& Will records are viewable and downloadable with an account. A few are
locked, FHC only?, mostly post 1839.

But the Grantor & Grantee indices are available from home -

Grantor Index - “Da...” surnames = begin image 101
Grantee Index - “Da...” surnames = begin image 105

And there's also the Weisiger Goochland abstract books, available from
home too.

Goochland County, Virginia, wills and deeds - abstracted and compiled by
Benjamin B. Weisiger III
Covers v.1. 1728-1736 - v. 3. 1742-1749, with an every name index and
searchable too.

Have fun!
