Was just wondering if anyone knows of any family connection between the Daniel's ( Shelby county KY ) and the family name Stith. The reason for the question is using my dad's autosomal dna kit I have a couple of matches who appear to be sisters, that are apparent descendants of David Daniel b 1804 NC d abt 1870 LA, this David is also a y-dna match to me, when I go to shared matches with these sisters I get three males with the last name Stith( I know this dna could come from anywhere but so far I have not found any other connections dna wise). As mentioned my 4th GGrandfather lived in Shelby county KY , in the 1800 tax/census list was a Stith Daniel as well as a Thomas sr and Thomas jr. (it is not clear if these two were father and son ) , but it appears Thomas jr married a Forsythe woman and they had a son named Stith Daniel also. This Stith later moved to Johnson county IN. I was just wondering if anyone has researched this group or has any insights ??
