Just a note here and that is your Dalton was never intended to be lubricated with grease. Only oil should be used. Way lube on the slide ways I prefer Vactra number 4 and spindle oil on the rest of

Grease is a no-no with any lathe. and especially a metal lathe. ships will stick in grease and score delicate areas of the machinery.. Beautiful pictures and that is a unique chuck.

Your lathe is? a Dalton.? If you measure the swing it should be 10 or 10 1/2 inches. This is only the third one of this model we have seen.? You may not find a serial number on it as the other two

Also, look on the end of the bed. There will be a lot number and a number stamped into the ways, or end. The lot number will tell us when about the lathe was made, the number is the serial number of
