All,
I picked up a B4 Lot-5 lathe.? It's not bad but I'll need a replacement cross-slide and tail-stock quill lock lever.? I do have a beat-to-hell cross slide from a Dalton school lathe I bought a few years back but it is an earlier model Dalton lathe and I really wouldn't want to put a beat up cross slide on a lathe I'm restoring even if it fit.
The lathe has only the number 5205 on the bed.? I have an earlier lathe with the number 5115 that has been restored.? The beat up school lathe is a older Lot-4.
I could fix the quill lock with welding and lots of filing but that sounds like too much work.
See attached photo of broken cross-slide and broken quill lock lever.
Thanks,
