I had been pondering how the angle of the probe affected the test indicators.? Makes sense.? I remember discussing it once with my Dad and Grandfather at the dinner table when I was a kid, but it was so long ago I've forgotten.
I do have a dial indicator I've used for engine rebuilding.? Not the greatest quality and I'm probably going to need to invest in something better, but I'm looking for something easier to use for setup purposes.? I've used the dial indicator and it can work, but it's a little clunky for dialing in round stock.
It's difficult for a newbie to know what to look for.? Between new/used and established brands vs Chinese vs Taiwanese vs Japanese, prices are all over the place.
