If I read your message correctly you are saying the adapter plate on you chuck cracked were it screws onto the spindle.? As far as an adapter for changing to a 1 1/2 - 8 the problem is the miner diameter of the 1 1/2 is very close to the major diameter of the 1 1/4 - 12 so an adapter would be rather fragile. If your back plate is broken I can help here as I have one more new back plate for a a Dalton spindle.? Let me know if this would help.? I am currently down at my Oregon coast home and will not be back to my regular home till next week.? All my parts are in McMinnville my regular home.
Dennis.

Hey guys, it has been a little while! I have been enjoying reading the conversations.
I am wondering if anyone has drawings and/or specs for a? 1" 12 TPI adapter? that converts the? Dalton Lot 4 spindle to a more standard 1 1/2" 8 tpi. Mine cracked and I am having trouble getting good measurements.? Possibly someone has made these and could assist me.? ?My Hendey is currently out of commission and now I can't? chuck up my Lot 4 so I am kind of stranded LOL? I look forward to hearing if there is anything out there.? ? ?Here is my little machine for reference.? Dennis was a great help and valuable resource for me in my greatest times of need when I brought this lathe back from the dead..??
