The key thing is to identify your lot number. ?Dalton ?assigned serials numbers by lot number. Lots sequences are 1-5. ? You can find the lot # stamped on the tail stock end of the ways. ?Looks like mid 1920¡¯s production model.
Dennis is the real expert. Maybe he can add more.
Nice looking lathe, btw. Might be the original finish.

Don, my son refurbished his 7¡± lathe, number 6034, last year for a school project.
Pull the serial off the old motor, it looks original. ? I believe our motor was manufactured in Oct 1925. ?You¡¯ll be hard pressed to get an exact Dalton manufacturing date, but you can get one for the motor. ? The serial numbers follow a dating sequence that can be looked up with a little digging.
Your lathe number is pretty close to ours. ?So; 1925-27 would be my guess.

Hi. I just bought a 7" Dalton lathe. The serial number is 6194. I plan to set it up and make parts for my antique fans with it. Anyone know how old it is. The last pat date is 1922. Any info on it would be great. Thanks
