Roger N. Geiser, 82 of Kidron died on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights due to a heart issue. ?He was born near Maysville, Ohio on November 14, 1939 to Tillman & Edna (Saurer) Geiser. His siblings are: Norman Geiser, Alice Hawkins and Dale Geiser. Roger graduated from Waynedale with the class of 1957. A life well lived…. Melvin R. Wyss, 86 passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Born January 26, 1936 in Kidron to Frank and Ella Wyss, Mel devoted his life to his family and community, becoming the longest working barber in Kidron for 57 years, long serving Kidron Volunteer fireman with 58 years and elected Sugar Creek Township Trustee of 45 years. His passion for golf and The Ohio State University Buckeyes was legendary. His favorite catch phrase to the family was “Let’s Make a Move”! Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ella Wyss, brothers, Clayton and Vilas Wyss and sister Mardell Wyss Hofstetter. Surviving is his wife, Shirley Moser Wyss, children Wendy Katherine Wyss of Kidron and CMDR (ret.) Steven A. Wyss of Alexandria, VA. You may call to visit and remember on Tuesday, September 27 from 6-8pm at Salem Mennonite Church, Kidron, Ohio and a private graveside service will be held on Wednesday September 28. Dalton59 Group Moved to groups.io
Our Dalton59 group has been hosted by Yahoo.com.? In the past year or so the Yahoo groups host has become somewhat unresponsive.? A lot of groups that were previously hosted by Yahoo have moved to groups.io as this host offers a number of advantages.? Therefore effective immediately (April 15, 2019) the group has been transferred to groups.io.?? That is the date Dalton Historical Society has their Strawberry Festival held at the park . Have a catered luncheon Sat at 1:00 PM? visiting and touring the Historical home? and enjoy the music and friends who come? to the Festival. That starts at 4:00.? We could have something else on Sunday but not sure where or what. ? We are going to get together again in Oct to draw up a letter to send out to get other ideas from the classmates.? ?
