Just wondering if anyone would like to share some rain with me.
I will trade you 9 months of record drought for a couple of inches
of rain.
We have received about 4 inches of rain since January 1.
I think our normal rainfall for a "normal" year is about 30 inches.
We are a tad behind "normal" rainfall.
The heat is wonderful but the absence of rain is not too swift.
One of these days we will probably get 10 inches of rain in a couple
of days; then there will be flash flooding.
All of these weird weather events happen in cycles.
I just happen to be here in one of the drought cycles.
We are in stage 5 (out of six stages) of the drought. We are allowed
to water our lawn once a week with a hand held hose during certain
hours. What a great way to spend a day.
So how much rain have you'ns gotten thus far this year?
