How well I remember Dan Thomas running up and down the court....looking good in those basketball trunks! ?Prayers going out on his behalf.
I am listening to the Sirus 50's music and just heard Chubby Checker and "The Huckelbuck" ?What a great song ?compared to today's garbage! Thank GOD for the ability to preserve the past and camp there if we need to.
A belated Happy Birthday to our own "Patsy Cline", Linda Fahrney who got another year better on January 1, ?what a way to start the year and get that birthday over. ?I keep saying to myself that I AM PUSHING 70 so when I get there it wont be so painful. ?Oh well at least I can enjoy being 68 till then end of November but I think that Linda is the youngest in the class.
Other January birthdays are Don Johnson on 1/23 and Carol Z on 1/30. ?Is there anyone that I missed for the first month of the year? ? Do you know that there are 3 classmates that were all born on the same day in Feb? ?WHO IS IT?
Also regarding the Bliss Cafe...I too loved that place. ?It was so cozy and just a place to hang out. ?how about we pool our money (was there any left over from the reunion? ?do we have any treasury to work with?) and reopen it for a party room for class reunion hangouts.
Talked to Cat about a week ago and we had a great chat. ?I guess you could call it a CAT CHAT...Oh well I am just entertaining myself with humor! ?He seems to be in good spirits and would love to hear from any or all of you. ?I did send him the pictures that I took at the reunion. ?His wife has the email but he does not do much with it so hopefully she was able to open them for him.
It is cold!! cold! ?here and predicted snow for the end of the week. ?How many days till spring? ?I am always glad when the holidays are over so I can resume life as usual. ?Too much expense for things that are not needed, too many temptations with eating and too many decorations! ? Just my opinion but I love the parties and the fellowship and wish that we could keep that spirit all year. ?
Lets hear from more of you in regard to what you have planned for the coming year. ?I am still waiting to hear from John regarding some dates for a get together this summer in Dalton. ?OH HELLO Weasel where are you? ?trapped in the wrapping paper?
OK time to get back to finding some paperwork that got lost with the holiday gaiety. ?Had company here for a week and now trying to put things back together so now the guest room is ready again so come on by when you can.

Dan Thomas had graduated in 1956.??? What I remember most was he was a fantastic basketball player.??? He went on to become a fantastic basketball player for the College of Wooster (I think he set some?kind of record).???He was a dentist?in Minerva.
