Tabby?lunges for the floating weapon and grasps it firmly in both hands just as a female Tabaxi steps through the portal and also clutches at it. The two struggle momentarily and the light is immensely intense but then?Tabby?sees the face of the woman. She looks just like an older version of herself!

Sweet William notices the liquid light expanding over his shoulder onto his back and torso.

The older woman hisses and tugs on the spear. “This is not meant for you,” she snarls, shaking the spear and raising one hand to cast a spell.

“Morning Song!” Echoes of Thunder cries.?

“If you only knew the power of the spear. Cries in Moonlight never told you what happened to your parents,” Morning Song purrs.

Even though the cantrip can only lift 10 pounds and is unlikely to be able to rip the weapon from the zealots grasp, it does pull sharply on the weapon much to the surprise of its wielder.

Whether the spell is somehow enhanced or the spear is actively resisting the zealot is undetermined, but it does begin flailing about, literally dragging the male monk across the floor toward?Tabby. The urge to claim the spear is overwhelming now for the female Tabaxi. She feels herself reaching out, hands beyond her control. They slowly move to the spear haft and her fingers curl around it as the zealots begin to howl. A three-way tug-of-war commences but then a sudden discharge of lightning erupts from the weapon, throwing?Tabby?and the male monk backwards and away, and dispelling the Mage Hand.

For a moment, the spear appears to float in midair.?

But it’s not floating. A ‘dimension door’ is opening and someone is entering!

Watching as a wild foe appears through a dimension door, he grows concerned.

He will turn back to the mirror.

If the mirror is of reasonable size, he will try to remove it from the wall and hold it in his grip. If possible, he would like to use the Mend spell to adhere some type of handle, maybe a short rope to the back of the mirror - creating a sort of mirror-shield for himself.

From his newly crafted cover, he will continue to watch what is about to unfold.

OOC: Flynn wasn’t getting anywhere with the brainwashed monk. Tabby is compromised because the spear is trying to bend her to its will, too. Cerina is trying to unravel the mystery of the clockwork panther and North didn’t let SW know what he had in mind soon enough. Also, weren’t you annoyed with us earlier, because we went to check out the well and mirror instead of attacking the monk straightaway?

The Plumed One will fall and Onotlatlatzin shall be the attainder!”

Flynn understands this to mean that the monk is prophesying that the gods Zaltec and Qotal, or perhaps Avatars of the same, are returning to Maztica and the evil god of war Zaltec shall slay the god of good Qotal using the spear.

The pull on Tabby?grows stronger. The spear belongs to her, or it should because her parents must have been the ones to discover it. Necalli was obviously an ancestor of hers so they would have been drawn to it s as well. But when Morning Song became corrupted by Zaltec, her parents were accused of being thieves when they weren’t! The spear was theirs all along.

Meanwhile at the mirror, North?uses a wand on himself and at the well Sweet William?is focusing on the mad monk.
