Stepping through the magic portal, you suddenly find yourself on the outskirts of a moderately sized port city just beyond a market square near the coast. Lively yet comfortably manageable, the port itself is active with several small local
fishing boats, and one large?seafaring ship which dominates the port, its sails marked with unfamiliar symbols. The cool sea air is a blend of fish, saltwater and unusual spices.
The streets are well-populated but not congested, filled with a mix of mostly Amnian sailors in distinctive clothing interspersed with Payit locals in practical attire. Market stalls and small shops line the roads, offering everything from
fresh regional produce to intriguing looking crafted items.?
At the city¡¯s center stands a modest yet impressive stone keep, serving as a focal point for the community. Its sturdy walls and imposing presence provide a sense of security and authority. Several heavily armed and armored guardsmen mill about
its gates.?
Surrounding the keep, the buildings are functional, some adorned with modest decorative elements and subtle aromatic incense enhancements. Stone and mortar rowhouses complete the city center with wooden farmhouses and smaller thatch shanties
just beyond the borders nearer the jungle.
Overall, the port city exudes a vibrant, engaging atmosphere that feels bustling without being overwhelming, offering the party a sense of both opportunity and intrigue.
