Cerina?can find no indication as to why the panther paces, however, on very close inspection she can see it¡¯s not actually a living panther- it¡¯s
a very well made taxidermy panther that must be magically animated.?
¡°Then enlighten us. Let Dances With the Wind¡¯sdaughter use the spear to serve all Maztica.? Why must the spear be used to subjugate and enslave.?
Have not the tribes of the Tabaxi and other races?suffered long enough.¡±
Again the monk momentarily winces slightly at the Tabaxi name and this time?Tabby?notices as well, but again he just as
quickly recovers. ¡°The tepozt¨p¨©lli cares not about mortals,¡± the crazed monk states with now a bit of impatience in his tone. ¡°Eater
of Hearts, Bringer of War, the First God returns. The Plumed One will fall and Onotlatlatzin shall be the attainder!¡±
Flynn?understands this to mean that the monk is prophesying that the gods Zaltec and Qotal,?or
perhaps Avatars of the same, are returning to Maztica and the evil god of war Zaltec shall slay the god of good Qotal using the spear.
The pull on?Tabby?grows stronger. The spear belongs to her, or it should because her parents must have been the ones to
discover it. Necalli was obviously an ancestor of hers so they would have been drawn to it s as well. But when Morning Song became corrupted by Zaltec, her parents were accused of being thieves when they weren¡¯t! The spear was theirs all along.
Meanwhile at the mirror,?North?uses a wand on himself and at the well?Sweet
William?is focusing on the mad monk.
And what do you do?
