feeds the probe inside. Prodding, twisting, and poking he struggled momentarily to find the hinge and gear mechanism. He then retracts the wire, gives it a sharp bend about three fingers from the tip, and twists the end into a reverse S.

Reinserting the probe, he feels again for the hinge and, finally finding the gear, gives a counterclockwise twist to slip it from its axle. Confident that the manacles are disabled, he turns his attention to the needles. ¡®Levenfingers offers
a sandstone file but Flynn waves it away, drawing a small weighted bead on a string from an outside pocket. Lowering it through the opening he caroms it around to intentionally trigger the needlesprings. Now that all traps are disabled and sprung, he accepts
the file from the Rogue and snaps away the poisoned barbs, gaining access to the contents within.
