So just for fun, the coins Sweet William discovered are ancient AD&D coins, from back in the edition when there were 10 coins per pound.?
5e D&D has 50 coins in a pound, and the coins are generally the size of a Kennedy half-dollar.
But back in first edition, they were about the size of an Eisenhower Silver Dollar but twice as thick.
Not really mechanically pertinent to the current game. Just a fun fact.
