INSTRUCTIONS:
list of 8 items
1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325¡ãF (163¡ãC). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy removal.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated sugar and powdered sugar using an electric mixer
or a whisk until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. This will help create a tender cookie texture.
4. Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg and almond extract until fully combined. Add the milk (or water) and mix again.
5. Combine Dry and Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until the dough comes together. The dough will be
soft and slightly sticky, but should hold its shape when pressed.
6. Shape the Cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about
2 inches apart. Gently press each dough ball to flatten slightly, then press a whole almond into the center of each cookie.
7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are golden brown. Keep an eye on them, as they can bake quickly.
8. Cool: Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
