1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375¡ãF (190¡ãC).
2. Prepare the Potatoes: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the sliced potatoes and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are just tender
but not fully cooked. Drain and set aside.
3. Make the Cheese Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream (or milk), sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir in 1 1/2
cups of the shredded cheese until well blended.
4. Layer the Potatoes: In a greased baking dish, layer half of the partially cooked potatoes. Pour half of the cheese mixture over the potatoes. Repeat
with the remaining potatoes and cheese mixture, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

6. Bake: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese
