Re: January 12 in RR History

January 12, 1986 Philadelphia trolley routes 6 (City portion on Ogontz Avenue), 50 (Rising Sun Avenue-4th and 5th Streets), and 60 (Allegheny Avenue) were converted to bus operation. Route 60 hadn't seen a trolley since 1977 and was considered for reconverson to trolleybus operation. Route 6 originally operated from Broad and Olney to Willow Grove but was cut back to Cheltenham Avenue in 1958.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?Dennis M Linsky
