Re: January 1 in RR History

January 1, 1957 It was the last day when Philadelphia trolleys served the Mummers parade with only routes 17 and 20 still operating. Route 20 followed its regular routing but route 17 used Chestnut and Walnut Streets instead of Market and route 32 was combined with bus route 21. Bus routes A and XB used 13th and 15th Streets from Pine to Spring Garden. Bus route C (main route) used 13th and 15th Streets from Oregon to Master. Bus route C (10th and Somerville Division) terminated its runs at Broad and Allegheny.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
