November 18, 1957 Philadelphia Transportation Company started its Boulevard Limited bus route from Roosevelt Boulevard and Solly and Holme Avenues at the Pennypack Circle to 23rd Street and Venango Street. This bus route ran local to Pratt Street, then made limited stops at Adams and Rising Sun Avenues and 5th Street to Old York Road and Broad Street, then made local stops to 23rd.
