Re: September 19 in RR History

September 19, 1954 Baltimore PCC routes 4 (Edmonson Avenue) and 15 (Gay Street-Belair Road) were combined to form a through-route 15. Also, PCC route 14 (Rolling Road) was abandoned and replaced by an extension of bus route P (Middle River, later route 23).? These changes became necessary because traffic engineer Harry Barnes wanted to make Charles Street one-way in the downtown area.? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?
