HI there,
I'm having trouble getting a cap and resistor upgrade kit from Regnar.? Does anyone out there have a parts list and instructions for cleaning up the sound in my system?? Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, Richard only had DQ-10 information. Does somebody else out there have the information I need for the DQ-12?

I did the crossover upgrade on my DQ-12s. I bought the kit from Ragnar but made a schematic for my reference. ?I’m currently in Kuwait but I think I have it on my laptop in my hotel. ?I’ll check tonight and if I have it I’ll attach it.?

I had trouble finding these. These are an early schematic I did as at the time I had nothing to measure Henries, but it documents the capacitors and the general board layout. I hope this helps. - Will

Just one dumb question: I understand a 100V MET cap, but can’t figure out 24.0J to farad equivalent.? There are a bunch of pretty useless conversions out there, but none seems to attack the issue well enough. Can you make some suggestions for purchase? ?

If I remember correctly it’s a 24uF capacitor. ?The J might be the tolerance?

I haven’t been following but I did see the DQ-12’s and thought I’d make this available if they needed it. Also I sure would love to test their caps, inductors and resistors with my B&K 880 LCR meter. Also have this as a spare,

Hi Will, ? I take it that the picture with the large DQ caps and the hot glue gun is the modified board.? If that is the case, it would seem that the schematics you were nice enough to send are those of the unmodified board.? Did you possibly make any of the modified version, if I am correct?? I’m just asking for the group. ? I was able to figure out all the parts needed by comparing the assumed old, new and using the schematic for a guide.? The one thing that got me was the one new cap marked just DQ56. ?I assume that means 5.6uF, since the old cap in that place was a 5.1uF. ? Anyway, let me know what you think about my conclusions and please suggest any corrections you may have ? Rick ?

Yes you are correct, the schematic is an early one that is of the base crossover. You are also correct about the 5.6uF capacitor.?
I have a newer schematic?at home that I did with the new capacitors and I measured the inductors, but I don't have it available to me now as I'm currently deployed with the Army in the Middle East and am not scheduled to be back in the states until September. I was lucky to find this older copy still on my laptop.
You can make out the different values of the caps in the pic.? I suspect that Regnar uses Solen capacitors and rebrands them with the Regnar label - Regnar is certainly not producing their own capacitors in house. They have the grey endcaps?typical of Solens.
