Re: Tilt or not
My listening position is low...maybe a new armchair is needed...but not now.

Depends on your listening position, I think. Try it and see how it sounds.

Re: Tilt or not
Not...I reversed my original stands with the lip to the front to tilt them....bad idea as the speakers were no longer beaming at ear level and sounded lifeless.

Re: DQ LP1 and DQ-1w
Yes, curious too because when I put my 10s on top of the 1W subs, one thought was, am I adding in essentially a very large baffle board to the bottom, basically turning the DQ 10 inot a mega-elongated

Thank you Dave. I'm old enough that I didn't want to physically move all four speakers. You saved my back. I really am a big time DQ-10 fan. Your set-up must sound wonderful. Durs

Well with the subs and DQ 10¡¯s stacked they are as large as the Bozak Symphanies which are blocked out behind them! wrote:

Tilt or not
I have my DQ 10¡¯s sitting on top of subs , toed in slightly to my position. It just occurred to me that perhaps tilting in might screw with timing of phased array ? Thought?

I¡¯m unsure which Burr-Brown op amp Regnar uses; however, I¡¯m going to use new op amps of the same part number that¡¯s in the unit. The new op amps will be much better made with the advances in

The LP-1 and DQ-10 in stock form are two of the finest designs ever. The MX and subs are unfortunately not in the same arena. Since your dealing with sub frequencies the stock op-amps are perfectly

I concur with your assessment of the Adcom as a bass amp. The bridged DH 500¡¯s must produce a huge soundstage with all that power (I assume you have the bridging card for these). Power matters to

165 wpc is far from overkill but that¡¯s only one part of the real issue I see here. While the SX1250 is a fine vintage receiver in of itself, it is a poor choice for a sub amp. It just doesn¡¯t
