I'm going to say that they look great, fabric - grills - wood rails all fine. ?If I were to keep them, I'd replace the woofer's foam surrounds. I did it myself once before about 20 years ago, not difficult at all. ? You are right about the shipping. ?I never considered shipping them, they really need to be seen and picked up locally.
