Clean the surface well with mineral spirits, sand/scuff with a sanding pad, clean again, heat the garage with my kerosene heater, cover the coated garage floor so as to protect from over-spray, then apply 2-3 VERY light coats with overlapping strokes.? Patience!? Let it dry (preferably overnight) before you touch the darn things!? :-)? Always overly anxious to move forward with the project which inevitably leads to fingerprints!
It's pretty incredible the quality finish that a rattle can puts out with the proper prep and technique....
