Here's the woofer in my large Advents?
I seem to remember reading that at some point during production. That the Dahlquist woofer actually has a slightly longer throw than the large Advent. Which allowed for a slightly improved bottom. So are the large Advents actually a correct replacement or just correct visually? Perhaps I'm confusing them with the early CTS's. But I have also run into surrounds that were specific for the Dahlquist and larger than what was specified for the Advents. Years ago I actually bought a pair that I later figured out had the wrong surrounds installed. I replaced them and it did effect the reproduction.

If I acquired a set of advent replacement woofers, I saw on another of your posts a DQ10 PDF reference pgs-35-37 showing bracing alterations, which I could do. (I'm a cabinetmaker). So would there be a schematic of the crossover changes necessary for this to work? Also just to be clear, you are saying that the midrange in the image with the silver ring around it Is possibly an LPG but hard to find ( this is stamped Regnar on the side). and I would be better off replacing both midranges with the Peerless units, or keeping the original I have and getting one more?? And if so, is this still the same crossover setup as with the advent replacements?
