Since I had three hair is a TQ 10 to do six crossovers I didn¡¯t measure all the caps just too many plus you can only do them after they removed from the market the ones that I did test seem to be really good as far capitals the esr. ? Showed some leakage generally only thing I can say is from the sound the one that where are use the real big 80 UF caps have better base response than the ones with the smaller electrolytic wands. The preserve electric ones that I changed I couldn¡¯t hear any difference the other two I didn¡¯t change them because the film Capacitors tested perfect and they take up a lot less space than electrolytic¡¯s. The overall sound with the clarity cabs came down some of the harshness in mid and upper frequencies. It¡¯s a bit smoother there for trumpets and violins.In some if you¡¯re not unhappy with the way they¡¯re performing it might not be worth the $250-$300 cost because the Mills resistors are quite pricey and I think they really contribute to the better sound anybody that wants to call yes send me your email and phone number and we can chat
All the old yellow ones (Mexico) and tan resistors, etc. Same as usual. No testing. Assuming since they are going on cose to 40-45 yrs old anything?that has a chance of aging out and going bad has done so...
Just curious so did the oem caps measure leaky or out of range? What color are oem's your replacing??

I redid two sets of Dq10 xo recently using s clarity caps from madisound and some resistors from parts express. If u send me contact I¡¯ll forward parts lists and images with instructions. We just went thructhis couple was ago so should still be on this site?

Upgrading a pair of 10's with original crossovers.
When I look at all the entries in the Database for DQ10 crossover values, they seem all over the road. Is there a definitive source for making sure, before I buy them, that I'm have the correct values? Should we also consider cleaning up this page so there's no misinformation there? My serial numbers are 47627 and 47624 in case they changed over time. I upgraded my xovers on another pair 12 yrs ago but don;t have the documentaion anymore, and I do recall having to piggyback some of them to achieve the correct values (would prefer not to have to do that anymore).
As for brand, I used Solens before. Open to suggestions on other brands, however, I'm in my 60's so spending big $$$ on a caps probably won't even be noticed by my aging ears. My goal is to primarly replace parts that have aged out and no longer up to spec.
