I want to weigh in. I¡¯m running 2 pairs of DQ-10s, 2 DQ-1w¡¯s through a LP-1 powered by 2 MC2205 for the DQ-10s and 2 MC2100 McIntosh amps. All of which have been professionally recapped to spec.
When I listen I couldn¡¯t be happier with the sound.
The quality of the sound is incomparable
I tried B&W powered 12¡±, went back to the Dahlquist. The ability to fine tune the sound of any recording using the LP-1 and the richness of the overall sound is, to my ears, wonderful. If you decide to go with the recap it won¡¯t take long for you to say money well spent.
