I was recently gifted a DQ-1w in pretty nice condition.? I've always been interested in the LP-1 and the DQ-1w provided the justification to pick one up. I have a spare Carver TFM6cb that I will setup in bridged mono (200 watts) to drive the sub. I'll be using the sub in conjuction with my DQ-12s and Magnepans.
The LP-1 looks fine, but I'm considering doing an upgrade. I contacted Regnar and they will do a rebuild which includes new Burr-Brown op amps for $320. The pricing seems high for such a simple circuit.
Looking thru the internet, the DYI upgrades seem to center around recapping and gold RCS jacks.
Any advice or recommendations?
