Our weather was dreadful today downpouring rain until around 3:30 then the temperature dropped to38 and the winds increased to 20mph with a feels like temperature of 28. Via Good morning! It is mostly cloudy with a high of 44 and freeze alert with expected low of 29. Roy is taking mom to dialysis & I am staying with the pack. At 10 pm last night Roy was getting ready to take pack outside Polly was setting in the chair with me and he set her down. Polly started yipping and zooming around the house on 3 legs not using her right rear leg. We gave a Methocarbamol & a Vetprofen last night & again this morning. Good Morning! Glad to see activity from group members! On a sad note, we lost our Callie on September 5. It’s been very hard on Oscar and I. She had Cushings for 7 years, then she had thyroid issues. She had a well checkup on Tuesday, played all week with us, then she stopped eating over the weekend, was diagnosed with pancreatitis and was gone on Thursday. Our house has been very quiet. Oscar and I have been crying a lot. My husband, Danny, told me to find us a new dachshund. I have learned a lot about finding a dachshund, good and bad. Callie helped us find Scarlett. She been with us a week. Oscar and I have been much happier and the house has barking again! Scarlett is a brown, black, red dapple with one half blue eye and a little white on her chest. (She’s not a double dapple.) She’s 1 1/2 years old, 12 pounds. She came from Henry County Humane Society in Georgia as a stray. Oscar is having his dental today, which makes me worry. It’s cold in Atlanta this morning. Scarlett and I are hiking Kennesaw Mountain this morning with our Meetup group. More later!
